Öz
Ottoman Empire had given a great importance to the administration
of the provinces, so that two important administrator had been sent to these
provinces like beylerbeyi-sanjakbeyi and kadı. As for the entourage of these
administrator, it had assigned persons as a hepler, like subaşı, şehir
kethüdası, dizdar, alaybeyi and çeribaşı. During the 16th century, it has seen
that; 39 beylerbeyi, 3 sanjakbeyi, 8 kadı, 13 alaybeyi, 14 çeribaşı, 2 subaşı and
1 dizdar was present as an administrator in Maraş district.
